Description

A delightful bread combining rich butter and earthy pecans, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  4. Mix in the buttermilk until fully combined.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For added moisture, consider using sour cream instead of buttermilk. Toasting the pecans enhances the nutty flavor.
