- 1 box vanilla or yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 large egg
- 450 g cream cheese, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup strawberry puree or chopped strawberries
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). In a bowl, mix the cake mix, melted butter, and egg; then press this mixture into a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla, then mix in the melted butter and powdered sugar. Fold in the strawberry puree or chopped strawberries.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake base and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes; the center should remain slightly gooey.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing into squares.
- Optionally, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
For a unique twist, you can use fresh strawberries for the puree or try different fruit purees like raspberries or blueberries.
