Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (21 ounces each) strawberry pie filling
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 box (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly on the bottom of the prepared dish.
  3. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar until smooth, then spread this creamy mixture over the strawberry filling.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the whole dish, then drizzle the melted butter on top, ensuring it’s well covered.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until it’s golden brown.
  6. For the finishing touch, mix the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a splash of water to create a lovely glaze, and drizzle it over the cake just before serving.
