- 2 cans (21 ounces each) strawberry pie filling
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 box (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly on the bottom of the prepared dish.
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar until smooth, then spread this creamy mixture over the strawberry filling.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the whole dish, then drizzle the melted butter on top, ensuring it’s well covered.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until it’s golden brown.
- For the finishing touch, mix the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a splash of water to create a lovely glaze, and drizzle it over the cake just before serving.
