Delightful blondies with rich brown sugar and cinnamon, soft and chewy in texture.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix the melted butter and brown sugar until combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until fully combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  7. Mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle evenly over the batter.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
