- 4 black cod fillets
- 1/4 cup white miso paste
- 1/4 cup sake
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- Cooking oil for greasing
Instructions
- Combine miso paste, sake, mirin, brown sugar, and soy sauce in a bowl.
- Cover the black cod fillets with the marinade and refrigerate for at least 24 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Grease a baking dish with cooking oil.
- Place the marinated fillets in the baking dish and discard the remaining marinade.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Serve hot, garnished with scallions if desired.
Notes
For best results, marinate the fish for up to 48 hours to enhance the flavor.
