Description

Ingredients

  • 4 black cod fillets
  • 1/4 cup white miso paste
  • 1/4 cup sake
  • 1/4 cup mirin
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • Cooking oil for greasing

Instructions

  1. Combine miso paste, sake, mirin, brown sugar, and soy sauce in a bowl.
  2. Cover the black cod fillets with the marinade and refrigerate for at least 24 hours.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Grease a baking dish with cooking oil.
  5. Place the marinated fillets in the baking dish and discard the remaining marinade.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with scallions if desired.

Notes

For best results, marinate the fish for up to 48 hours to enhance the flavor.
