- 2 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Coat each chicken breast in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry chicken until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish, top with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Serve hot with a side of pasta or salad.
Notes
For extra flavor, add fresh basil on top before serving.
