Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup gochujang (Korean Red Chili Paste)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup rice flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup sugar or honey
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken with gochujang, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and sugar for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Coat the marinated chicken in a mixture of rice flour and cornstarch.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Fry the chicken pieces in batches, first at a lower temperature until cooked through.
  5. Increase the oil temperature and double fry the chicken until golden and crispy.
  6. Remove the chicken and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve with preferred dipping sauce or garnish.
