Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs flank steak
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons freshly grated ginger
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon pan-searing oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce, ginger, garlic, honey, and sesame oil in a bowl to create the marinade.
  2. Add lime juice, olive oil, cumin, and cilantro; mix well.
  3. Pour the marinade over the flank steak in a zip-top bag, ensuring it’s well coated.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
  5. Preheat your grill to high heat.
  6. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the remaining marinade.
  7. Grill the steak for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness (medium-rare at 130°F).
  8. Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
  9. Slice against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.
