- 1.5 lbs flank steak
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons freshly grated ginger
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Juice of 2 limes
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 tablespoon pan-searing oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Combine soy sauce, ginger, garlic, honey, and sesame oil in a bowl to create the marinade.
- Add lime juice, olive oil, cumin, and cilantro; mix well.
- Pour the marinade over the flank steak in a zip-top bag, ensuring it’s well coated.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
- Preheat your grill to high heat.
- Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the remaining marinade.
- Grill the steak for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness (medium-rare at 130°F).
- Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
- Slice against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.
