- 4 chicken cutlets
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken cutlets with salt and pepper.
- Coat each cutlet in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and then coat in breadcrumbs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the cutlets until golden brown on both sides.
- Place the fried cutlets on a baking dish and cover with marinara sauce.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
