Description

A classic Italian-American dish featuring crispy breaded chicken cutlet topped with marinara sauce and melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken cutlets
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken cutlets with salt and pepper.
  3. Coat each cutlet in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and then coat in breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the cutlets until golden brown on both sides.
  5. Place the fried cutlets on a baking dish and cover with marinara sauce.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
