Ingredients
Scale
- 7 oz (200g) Dark Chocolate (chopped)
- 0.75 cup (170g) Unsalted Butter (melted)
- 1 cup (200g) Granulated White Sugar
- 0.5 cup (100g) Light Brown Sugar (packed)
- 3 Large Eggs (room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 0.75 cup (95g) All-Purpose Flour (sifted)
- 0.33 cup (35g) Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (sifted)
- 0.5 teaspoon Fine Sea Salt
- Premium Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (for serving)
- Optional Drizzles: hot fudge sauce, chocolate shavings, or flaky sea salt
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate and butter base: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Combine dark chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over simmering water until melted and smooth.
- Whip the sugars and eggs for the glossy skin: In a bowl, whisk together the granulated and brown sugars with eggs for 2–3 minutes until pale. Stir in vanilla and warm chocolate-butter mixture.
- Fold the dry ingredients gently: Sift flour, cocoa powder, and salt into the bowl with the wet mixture. Gently fold until just combined.
- Precision bake and rest: Pour the batter into the pan and smooth the top. Bake for 22–25 minutes. Cool on a wire rack for 15–20 minutes.
- Slice warm and serve à la mode: Lift the brownie out and slice into squares. Serve warm with a scoop of cold vanilla ice cream and optional drizzles.
Notes
