Ingredients

  • Hot sauce (aji) to taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Avocado slices (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Boil the shrimp: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, add the cleaned shrimp, and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn opaque and pink.
  2. Cool the shrimp: Drain and submerge them in ice water to stop the cooking process.
  3. Mix the sauce: In a bowl, combine lime juice, tomato ketchup, cilantro, onion, and garlic.
  4. Add hot sauce: Stir in your desired amount of hot sauce and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Combine the shrimp: Add the shrimp to the sauce mix, toss gently to coat.
  6. Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
