- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter (or chocolate hazelnut spread)
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Cream together the butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla.
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
- Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the center is just set.
- Allow the base to cool completely.
- Using an electric mixer, beat together the peanut butter, softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth, fluffy, and creamy.
- Spread the cream filling evenly over the cooled chocolate base.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Heat the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the chilled filling and spread evenly.
- Chill for at least 2 hours, or until the chocolate coating is firm.
Notes
For the best results, use room-temperature butter and chill each layer before adding the next.
