Description

These Salted Caramel Chocolate Bars feature a rich, brown-sugar cookie base studded with chocolate chips and pockets of gooey caramel, all finished with a sprinkle of flaky sea salt.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar, packed
  • ½ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Caramel Bits
  • 1 teaspoon Flaky Sea Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and optionally line with parchment paper.
  3. Combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a mixing bowl; whisk until smooth.
  4. Stir in the flour and salt until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and caramel bits evenly throughout the dough.
  6. Transfer the dough to the prepared baking dish, pressing it evenly into the pan.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown.
  8. Sprinkle flaky sea salt over the bars immediately after removing from the oven.
  9. Cool completely before slicing for clean cuts.

Notes

For best results, cool bars completely and refrigerate for 20 minutes before slicing. Use a hot knife for clean cuts.
