- 200g Dates
- 100g Butter
- 150g Brown sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 200g Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking soda
- Toffee sauce (made with cream, butter, and sugar)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Grease a baking dish and set aside.
- Mix the dates with boiling water and let them soak.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Fold in the flour and baking soda.
- Stir in the soaked dates along with their water.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared dish and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
- Serve warm with toffee sauce drizzled on top.
Notes
This pudding is best served warm with custard or extra toffee sauce.
