Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped chocolate peanut butter cups, for layering
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1 cup chopped chocolate peanut butter cups, for topping
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-by-13-inch baking pan with unsalted butter and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. Add the melted butter and granulated sugar to a large mixing bowl, whisk until combined.
  3. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Fold in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder to form brownie batter.
  5. Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, then cool for 10 minutes.
  7. Beat cream cheese until smooth, then blend in peanut butter, sugar, and eggs one at a time.
  8. Mix in vanilla, sour cream, flour until creamy.
  9. Layer chopped peanut butter cups over the brownie and then spoon cheesecake filling over it.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes until edges are set, and center is slightly wobbly.
  11. Cool at room temperature for 1 hour, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  12. Make ganache by pouring hot cream over chocolate chips; stir until smooth.
  13. Drizzle melted peanut butter with powdered sugar.
  14. Top with ganache, peanut butter drizzle, and more peanut butter cups.
  15. Chill again for 20 minutes, slice into bars, and serve.

Notes

Allow bars to chill for at least 4 hours for best texture. Serve straight from the fridge or let sit at room temperature for a few minutes for a softer bite.
