Ingredients

- 1 cup of fresh or dried oregano leaves
- 2 cups of carrier oil (olive oil, grapeseed oil, or coconut oil)
- Mason jars for infusion
- Measuring spoons
- Cheesecloth or fine-mesh strainer for filtering
Instructions
- Prepare the oregano by washing fresh leaves or crushing dried leaves.
- Fill a mason jar with the crushed oregano and cover it with the carrier oil.
- Seal the jar and place it in a sunny spot for 2-4 weeks (cold infusion) or use a double boiler to gently heat for 1-2 hours (heat infusion).
- Strain the oil using cheesecloth or a strainer and transfer it into a dark glass bottle.
- Store the oil in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months.
Notes
Always dilute oregano oil before applying it to the skin or ingesting. A typical dilution ratio is 1-2 drops per tablespoon of carrier oil.
