Description

A refreshing No-Bake Strawberry Shortcake Dessert made with layers of cream, strawberries, and ladyfingers, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package (8 ounces) ladyfinger cookies or sponge cake

Instructions

  1. Mix the sliced strawberries with granulated sugar and lemon juice. Allow this mixture to sit for about 30 minutes to release the juices from the strawberries.
  2. Beat the cream cheese until it’s smooth and creamy.
  3. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  4. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined.
  5. Layer the ladyfinger cookies or sponge cake, followed by the cream mixture, then a layer of strawberries in a serving dish.
  6. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a final layer of strawberries on top.
  7. Cover the dessert and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes, or preferably overnight, for the best flavor!

Notes

For an enhanced experience, consider garnishing with additional fresh strawberries or a sprig of mint. Chocolate sauce or accompanying desserts can add a delightful touch.
