No-Bake Chocolate Orange Mousse Cake

Description

An elegant no-bake dessert combining rich dark chocolate and vibrant citrus flavors in a light, airy mousse.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 100 g Dark Chocolate (60% to 72% cocoa)
  • 250 ml Heavy Cream
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 Fresh Oranges (Zest and Juice)

Instructions

  1. Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and place in a microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Let the chocolate cool to room temperature.
  4. Pour chilled heavy cream into a cold mixing bowl.
  5. Start whipping on low speed and gradually increase to medium-high until soft peaks form.
  6. Gently whisk fresh orange juice and zest into the cooled chocolate.
  7. Add one-third of the whipped cream to the chocolate mixture; fold gently.
  8. Incorporate the remaining whipped cream by folding until uniform.
  9. Line a springform pan with parchment and pour in the mousse.
  10. Chill in the refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For a biscuit base, crush chocolate orange biscuits with melted butter and press into the bottom of the pan before pouring mousse. Optionally, add a splash of Grand Marnier for a boozy twist.
