Description

A rich and creamy mocha coffee mousse cake perfect for coffee and chocolate lovers, ideal for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup brewed coffee
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, melted
  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a round cake pan.
  2. Combine the brewed coffee, sugar, and cocoa powder in a bowl; mix well.
  3. Beat the egg yolks in a separate bowl, then add the melted chocolate, vanilla extract, and the coffee mixture. Mix until smooth.
  4. Whip the cream in another bowl until soft peaks form.
  5. Fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture.
  6. Beat the egg whites with salt in a clean bowl until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the egg whites into the mousse mixture.
  7. Pour the mixture into the prepared cake pan.
  8. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until set.
  9. Let cool before serving.

Notes

Make sure to let the coffee cool before mixing with the other ingredients to prevent curdling. Try different chocolates for varied sweetness.
