- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 6 slices bacon
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
- 1–2 tablespoons real maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard or burger sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon ketchup (optional)
- Dill pickle slices (optional)
- Sliced tomatoes (optional)
- Shredded lettuce (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the bacon strips over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels and crumble once cool. Set aside.
- Add ground beef to the same skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for 6–8 minutes until fully browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and maple syrup. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Lay a flour tortilla on a flat surface. On one half of the tortilla, sprinkle a layer of cheddar and mozzarella. Add ¼ of the beef mixture, crumbled bacon, and optional ingredients. Add another layer of cheese and fold.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat with a bit of butter. Place a folded quesadilla in the skillet and press gently. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove from the skillet, let rest for 1–2 minutes, and cut into wedges.
