Description

A light and fluffy dessert bursting with tropical flavor, made with fresh mangoes and a creamy mousse that melts in your mouth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe mangoes, pureed
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1 pre-made cake base or sponge cake

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mango puree by blending ripe mangoes until smooth. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over water and let it bloom for about 5 minutes. Then, heat it gently until dissolved.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  4. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the mango puree and gelatin mixture to the cream cheese, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mango mixture until no streaks remain.
  6. Place the cake base on a serving dish and pour the mango mousse over it, smoothing the top.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 240 minutes or until set.
  8. Serve chilled, garnished with more mango slices if desired.

Notes
