A light and fluffy dessert bursting with tropical flavor, made with fresh mangoes and a creamy mousse that melts in your mouth.

- 2 ripe mangoes, pureed
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon gelatin
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1 pre-made cake base or sponge cake
Instructions
- Prepare the mango puree by blending ripe mangoes until smooth. Set aside.
- In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over water and let it bloom for about 5 minutes. Then, heat it gently until dissolved.
- In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the mango puree and gelatin mixture to the cream cheese, mixing until well combined.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the mango mixture until no streaks remain.
- Place the cake base on a serving dish and pour the mango mousse over it, smoothing the top.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 240 minutes or until set.
- Serve chilled, garnished with more mango slices if desired.
Notes
Store in the refrigerator covered with plastic wrap, best enjoyed within 3 days.
