A visually appealing and delicious layered dessert combining chocolate cake, custard, whipped cream, and fresh berries, perfect for Christmas dinner.
Ingredients

- 1 chocolate cake (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups of vanilla custard
- 2 cups of whipped cream
- 1 cup of mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
- Chocolate shavings (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the chocolate cake according to the instructions. Let it cool completely.
- Cut the chocolate cake into cubes.
- Layer the cake cubes at the bottom of a large glass bowl or individual serving cups.
- Pour a layer of vanilla custard over the cake cubes.
- Add a layer of whipped cream on top of the custard.
- Sprinkle a layer of mixed berries.
- Repeat the layers until you reach the top of the bowl or cup, finishing with whipped cream and a garnish of chocolate shavings.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a refreshing variation, substitute chocolate cake with lemon cake and add lemon curd instead of vanilla custard.
