Ingredients

- 2 cups oats
- 1 cup molasses
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup flaxseed
- 1 cup corn
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 cup bran
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1 cup soybean meal
- 1 cup dehydrated alfalfa meal
- 1 cup beet pulp
- Apple or pear scraps (to taste)
- Vitamins and minerals (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine all dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
- Add molasses and mix until a dough forms.
- If using, fold in apple or pear scraps.
- Shape the mixture into muffin molds.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the muffins are firm.
- Let cool before serving to your horse.
Notes
Store homemade muffins in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
