- 2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken by pounding it to 1/2-inch thickness and seasoning with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese.
- Coat each chicken breast in flour, dip in egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat and pan-fry the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the fried chicken to a baking sheet and top with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
For a healthier version, you can bake instead of fry, or use an air fryer.
