- ½ cup white sugar
- 1 cup butter (melted)
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 cups bread flour

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- Cream together the melted butter and both sugars until smooth.
- Add the egg yolks and vanilla extract, and mix until fully incorporated.
- Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in any optional mix-ins like chocolate chips or nuts.
- Scoop the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and flatten each ball slightly.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the center is soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra chewiness, refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
