- Ricotta cheese

- Italian herbs
- 1 egg
- Nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
- Gather your ingredients and tools.
- Soak the noodles in hot water for 20 minutes.
- Cook the ground meat in a skillet until browned, then add onions and garlic and cook until soft.
- Pour in tomato sauce and season; simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- Mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, and egg in a bowl.
- Layer sauce, noodles, cheese mixture in baking dish, repeating until full.
- Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil for the last 15 minutes to brown the top.
- Let rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.
