- 64 Whole Pecan Halves
- 11 oz Baking Caramels
- 1 tablespoon Water
- 1 bag (approx. 11-12 oz) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Line a large, flat baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- Gather your pecan halves and arrange 4 together for each turtle.
- Repeat this across the sheet, leaving space between clusters.
- Place the baking caramels into a bowl and add water.
- Microwave on high for 30 seconds, then stir and continue in bursts until smooth.
- Spoon 1 tablespoon of caramel over each pecan cluster.
- Pour chocolate chips into a dry bowl and microwave in increments, stirring until smooth.
- Spoon chocolate over the caramel layer, forming a dome.
- Place the baking sheet in the freezer for 30 minutes to set.
- Peel candies off the parchment and serve.
Notes
Sprinkle flaky sea salt over the chocolate layer before freezing for enhanced flavor.
