Description

A simple yet decadent breakfast option that combines soft, sweet Hawaiian rolls with a creamy custard for a delightful dish everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls (kept connected or separated)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 23 tablespoons butter
  • Optional Toppings: Maple syrup, Powdered sugar, Fresh fruit, Whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare custard – In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon until smooth.
  2. Decide whether to keep the rolls connected for a pull-apart style or to separate them.
  3. Dip the rolls quickly into the custard mixture, ensuring all sides are coated without letting them soak too long.
  4. Cook in a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and cook the rolls for 2–3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
  5. Serve drizzled with maple syrup and dusted with powdered sugar. Add fresh fruit or whipped cream for extra flavor.

Notes

For an even richer flavor, use half-and-half instead of milk. Consider adding a pinch of nutmeg for extra spice.
