  • 1 1/2 cups purple grapes, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for grape filling)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (for frosting)
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • Purple food coloring
  • 2 tbsp grape jam or jelly
  • Fresh grapes (for decorating)
  • Colorful sprinkles (for decorating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add the eggs, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  4. Distribute the batter evenly between the cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full.
  5. Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until the tops are lightly golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool the cupcakes completely after baking.
  7. Combine the chopped grapes and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat to create the filling.
  8. Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the grapes. Cook until thickened, then let cool.
  9. Remove the centers of each cupcake with a small knife or cupcake corer and fill with grape compote.
  10. Beat the butter until fluffy for the frosting, gradually adding powdered sugar.
  11. Mix in heavy cream, vanilla extract, grape jam, and food coloring until smooth.
  12. Pipe frosting onto each cupcake and top with fresh grapes and colorful sprinkles.
  13. Chill the cupcakes slightly before serving for better flavor and texture.
