Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt cake pan.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and cocoa powder.
- Beat together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, molasses, and vegetable oil until combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the hot water and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
- Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- Decorate with icing or powdered sugar as desired to resemble a wreath.
Notes
Ensure ingredients are at room temperature for best results. A non-stick bundt pan helps the cake release easily.
