Ingredients

  • 1 cup brewed coffee
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp gelatin
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brew the coffee and let it cool completely.
  2. In a bowl, mix the sugar and gelatin with the cooled brewed coffee until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold in the melted chocolate.
  4. In another bowl, whisk the eggs until fluffy, then combine them with the coffee mixture.
  5. Carefully fold the whipped cream and chocolate mixture into the egg and coffee blend until fully incorporated.
  6. Pour the mousse into a cake mold and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes, or until fully set.
  7. When ready to serve, unmold the cake and garnish with chocolate shavings.
