- 1 package (3.9 oz) Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix
- 2 cups Whole Milk
- 2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1 pinch Sea Salt (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with unsalted butter or non-stick spray.
- Pour the chocolate cake mix into the baking dish, spreading it flat.
- Combine the pudding mix, whole milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl, whisking until thickened.
- Pour the pudding mixture evenly over the cake mix.
- Swirl the mixture gently with a fork to avoid dry pockets.
- Sprinkle 1.5 cups of chocolate chips across the top.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the edges firm and the center is slightly jiggly.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the remaining 0.5 cup of chocolate chips over the top.
- Let set for 2-3 minutes before serving.
Notes
This cake can be served warm with ice cream or fresh berries. Store leftovers covered at room temperature for up to 2 days or in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
