Description

A unique twist on classic crème brûlée, this dish combines rich crab meat with a delicate, caramelized sugar crust, creating a luxurious experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh crab meat
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp chives, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Fill individual ramekins with the crab and custard mixture, filling them about three-quarters full.
  3. Place the ramekins in a baking dish and add hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the custard is set but slightly wobbly in the center.
  5. Chill the ramekins at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  6. Sprinkle a thin layer of sugar on top of each brulee and caramelize using a kitchen torch.

Notes

For best results, use fresh crab meat and high-quality cream. Adjust sweetness by varying sugar amounts.
