A unique twist on classic crème brûlée, this dish combines rich crab meat with a delicate, caramelized sugar crust, creating a luxurious experience.
Ingredients

- 1 cup fresh crab meat
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 large eggs
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp chives, chopped
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Fill individual ramekins with the crab and custard mixture, filling them about three-quarters full.
- Place the ramekins in a baking dish and add hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until the custard is set but slightly wobbly in the center.
- Chill the ramekins at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Sprinkle a thin layer of sugar on top of each brulee and caramelize using a kitchen torch.
Notes
For best results, use fresh crab meat and high-quality cream. Adjust sweetness by varying sugar amounts.
