  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon premium ground cinnamon

  • 1 standard package refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing)
  • ¼ cup premium pecans, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease your baking dish.
  2. Combine diced apples, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and vanilla in a bowl.
  3. Flatten half of the cinnamon rolls in the greased baking dish.
  4. Spread the apple filling over the dough base.
  5. Sprinkle nuts if using, over the apple layer.
  6. Tear remaining cinnamon rolls into pieces and scatter over the top.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool for 5 minutes and drizzle with icing before serving.

Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for best results. Ensure to use cornstarch to avoid a soggy bottom.
