Description

A delightful dessert combining layers of chocolate cake, creamy chocolate pudding, and fresh strawberries, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix, baked and cooled, or 1 homemade 9-inch chocolate cake
  • 2 boxes instant chocolate pudding mix (3.9 oz each)
  • 4 cups cold milk (960ml)
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream (480ml), cold
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar (40g)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 tbsp strawberry jam or glaze
  • Chocolate curls or chocolate shavings
  • Extra strawberries, for garnish
  • Chocolate syrup drizzle

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake according to package directions or your favorite homemade recipe. Let it cool completely, then cut into cubes.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes, until thickened. Refrigerate for 5 minutes.
  3. In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until fluffy with stiff peaks.
  4. Toss the sliced strawberries lightly with strawberry jam or glaze to create a glossy appearance.
  5. In a large trifle bowl, spread a layer of chocolate pudding on the bottom.
  6. Add a thick layer of chocolate cake cubes over the pudding. Arrange the sliced strawberries around the edges of the bowl for a beautiful presentation, then add more strawberries in the center.
  7. Spread a generous layer of whipped cream over the strawberries. Repeat the layers with chocolate pudding, chocolate cake, strawberries, and whipped cream until the bowl is full.
  8. Finish with chocolate curls, extra strawberries, and a drizzle of chocolate syrup for the ultimate indulgent touch.
  9. Chill the Chocolate Strawberry Trifle Dream for at least 120 minutes before serving so the flavors blend beautifully.
  10. Serve cold with extra strawberries and chocolate shavings for an unforgettable dessert centerpiece.
