Description

A delightful dessert combining rich chocolate cake with creamy peanut butter, perfect for special occasions or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • Ingredients required by the cake mix (usually water, eggs, and oil)
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • Chopped peanuts for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions. Once the batter is ready, pour it into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Bake the cake in a preheated oven according to the package directions, usually around 30-35 minutes. When it’s done, allow it to cool completely.
  3. Once the cake is cooled, use a fork to gently poke holes all over the top, about 1 inch apart.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the peanut butter and milk until smooth. Gradually whisk in the chocolate pudding mix until everything is blended well.
  5. Pour the peanut butter mixture over the holes in the cake, allowing it to seep in. Spread any remaining mixture evenly over the top.
  6. Top the cake with whipped topping and sprinkle with chopped peanuts if you like. Refrigerate for at least four hours before serving to let the flavors meld together.

Notes

For extra chocolatey goodness, drizzle some chocolate syrup over the top before serving. This cake can be made a day in advance to enhance its flavor.
