Ingredients

  • 8 oz Semi-Sweet Chocolate
  • 1.25 cups Granulated Sugar
  • 0.75 cups Light Brown Sugar
  • 4 Large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 0.25 cups Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1.5 cups Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 0.25 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 8 oz Dark Chocolate

Instructions

  1. Preheat your conventional oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the butter and semi-sweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and melt in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  3. Whisk together the granulated sugar, light brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl until lightened.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, whisking continuously.
  5. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt using a fine-mesh sieve, then fold gently until just combined.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the lined pan and smooth it out.
  7. Mix the peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth, then drop spoonfuls over the brownie batter.
  8. Spread the remaining brownie batter on top of the peanut butter layer and smooth it out.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs attached.
  10. Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  11. Simmer the heavy cream in a saucepan until gently simmering, then pour it over chopped dark chocolate in a bowl and let it sit for 5 minutes before whisking until smooth.
  12. Pour the ganache over the cooled brownies.

Notes

For clean cuts, refrigerate the brownies after glazing and use a hot knife for slicing.
