Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Butter and cocoa powder for greasing ramekins

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Butter and dust with cocoa powder four ramekins.
  2. Combine chopped chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
  3. Whisk together eggs, egg yolks, and sugar in a separate bowl until pale and fluffy.
  4. Stir the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until well combined.
  5. Add the flour and salt, mixing gently until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared ramekins.
  7. Bake for 12-14 minutes until the edges are firm but the center is soft.
  8. Let cool for 1 minute, then invert onto plates. Serve immediately.

Notes

Serve immediately with a dusting of powdered sugar or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in the refrigerator and reheat before serving.
