Delicious homemade chocolate ice cream pops that are creamy, fun to make, and customizable with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups full-fat milk (500ml)
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk (120ml)
  • 1/4 cup milk powder (30g)
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (15g)
  • 80g dark chocolate, melted
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar, optional (25g)
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp chopped pistachios or almonds
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp milk
  • Optional topping: Extra melted chocolate drizzle, crushed pistachios, chocolate shavings

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the full-fat milk and condensed milk. Stir continuously until warm.
  2. Add the milk powder and cocoa powder, whisking until the mixture is smooth and lump-free.
  3. Stir in the melted dark chocolate and optional sugar, mixing until rich, glossy, and fully combined.
  4. Add the cardamom powder to enhance the flavor.
  5. Pour in the cornstarch slurry and continue cooking for 4–5 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens slightly.
  6. Remove from heat and let the chocolate mixture cool completely.
  7. Stir in chopped pistachios or almonds for added texture.
  8. Pour the mixture into kulfi molds or small paper cups, inserting popsicle sticks.
  9. Freeze for 6–8 hours or overnight.
  10. To release the pops easily, run the molds under warm water before serving. Drizzle with melted chocolate and sprinkle with extra pistachios.
