- 240 ml (1 cup) heavy whipping cream
- 225 g (8 oz) premium dark or semi-sweet chocolate bars, finely chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and prepare your baking dish.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a medium saucepan and stir in the granulated sugar.
- Whisk in the eggs one at a time until smooth, then add vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips and pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool the cake to room temperature.
- Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until bubbles form.
- Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and let sit for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
- Pour the ganache over the cooled cake and let set.
