Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Whisk together the buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.
- Pipe chocolate frosting on top and garnish with fresh strawberries. Drizzle melted chocolate over the strawberries for an extra touch.
Notes
For best flavor, use fresh strawberries and allow ingredients to reach room temperature before mixing. You can also add chocolate chips to the batter for an extra chocolate burst.
