- 500 g tea biscuits
- ½ cup Dutch cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 150 g butter
- 100 g heavy cream
- 100 g dark chocolate
- ½ cup walnuts (toasted)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chocolate Sauce by mixing sugar, cocoa, and water in a saucepan over heat until dissolved. Add butter and vanilla, cooking until smooth. Cool for 15 minutes.
- Break the tea biscuits into small pieces in a mixing bowl.
- Combine the cooled chocolate sauce with the biscuit pieces, ensuring everything is coated.
- Press the mixture into a lined cake pan and chill for 30 minutes.
- Make the Ganache by microwaving heavy cream and dark chocolate. Whisk until smooth, then pour over the chilled biscuit cake.
- Toast the walnuts in a skillet, cool, chop, and sprinkle over the ganache.
- Chill the cake for at least 4 hours before slicing and serving.
Notes
Let the cake chill overnight for the best flavor and texture. Use parchment paper in the pan for easy removal.
