Description

A rich, chocolatey, no-bake dessert made with crisp tea biscuits coated in chocolate sauce and topped with a silky ganache and toasted walnuts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 g tea biscuits
  • ½ cup Dutch cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 150 g butter
  • 100 g heavy cream
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • ½ cup walnuts (toasted)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chocolate Sauce by mixing sugar, cocoa, and water in a saucepan over heat until dissolved. Add butter and vanilla, cooking until smooth. Cool for 15 minutes.
  2. Break the tea biscuits into small pieces in a mixing bowl.
  3. Combine the cooled chocolate sauce with the biscuit pieces, ensuring everything is coated.
  4. Press the mixture into a lined cake pan and chill for 30 minutes.
  5. Make the Ganache by microwaving heavy cream and dark chocolate. Whisk until smooth, then pour over the chilled biscuit cake.
  6. Toast the walnuts in a skillet, cool, chop, and sprinkle over the ganache.
  7. Chill the cake for at least 4 hours before slicing and serving.

Notes

Let the cake chill overnight for the best flavor and texture. Use parchment paper in the pan for easy removal.
