- 1 cup hot coffee
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- Chocolate brownie bites
- Chocolate bar pieces
- Chocolate cookie crumbs
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- Fresh mint leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease and line an 8-inch round cake pan.
- Whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Slowly pour in the hot coffee, mixing to achieve a moist texture.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
- Let the cake cool completely before adding the ganache.
- Heat the heavy cream until steaming, then pour it over chocolate chips and butter.
- Let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until glossy and smooth.
- Pour ganache over the cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
- Beat whipping cream, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla until thick and fluffy.
- Pipe or spoon swirls on top, then decorate with brownie chunks, chocolate pieces, and cookie crumbs.
- Chill before serving for a thick, fudgy ganache.
Notes
For a richer flavor, substitute brewed coffee with espresso. Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing.
