Description

A delicious fusion of cheesy breadsticks and seasoned taco meat, perfect for game day or a festive party.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef or Ground Turkey
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning
  • ⅔ cup Water
  • 1 package Breadsticks
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheese
  • Sour Cream (for serving)
  • Chopped Green Onions (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Brown and season the meat by heating a skillet and cooking the ground beef or turkey for 6 to 8 minutes.
  2. Drain any excess fat from the meat.
  3. Pour in the taco seasoning and water, stirring to coat, then simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven as per breadstick package instructions.
  5. Arrange the breadsticks on a baking sheet and par-bake until puffed and pale golden.
  6. Distribute the taco meat over the par-baked breadsticks.
  7. Shower with shredded cheese and return to the oven, baking for an additional 3 to 5 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven, cool for 2 minutes, then drizzle with sour cream and sprinkle with green onions before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, swap the meat for black beans or a plant-based alternative.
