  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chocolate ganache

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Beat together the softened butter, sugar, and cocoa powder until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the cream cheese and keep beating until well combined.
  5. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  6. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into your prepared springform pan and spread it out evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Allow it to cool completely before drizzling the chocolate ganache and heavy cream on top.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 240 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for easier mixing. Don’t overmix the batter to keep the cheesecake light and fluffy.
