- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
Instructions
- Combine the oils: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the soybean oil and extra virgin olive oil until well blended.
- Add the vinegar: Slowly pour in the red wine vinegar while whisking continuously to emulsify the mixture.
- Mix in the spices: Add oregano, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and sugar. Whisk until fully incorporated.
- Taste and adjust: Taste the dressing and adjust seasoning as necessary with salt or sugar.
- Store and serve: Transfer the dressing to a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid, shaking well before each use. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
