Description

A delicious dish that combines sweet and savory flavors, transforming ripe pears into a warm dessert or unique appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe but firm pears, halved and cored
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking dish or sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the pears in half lengthwise and carefully scoop out the cores to create a small well in the center.
  3. Arrange the pear halves cut-side up in the baking dish. Drizzle the pears lightly with olive oil and honey.
  4. Fill each pear half with crumbled feta cheese and chopped dried cranberries.
  5. Sprinkle with walnuts or pecans, cinnamon, and black pepper.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the pears are tender and lightly caramelized around the edges.
  7. Remove from the oven and drizzle with extra warm honey while still hot.
  8. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves for an elegant finish.

Notes

Use ripe but firm pears for the best texture. Feel free to experiment with different nuts or spices.
