- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a doughnut pan.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Whisk together the apple cider, melted butter, sugar, and eggs in another bowl until smooth.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fill the doughnut pan with the batter, about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the donuts cool slightly before removing them from the pan.
- Mix the sugar and cinnamon for coating in a separate bowl.
- Brush the warm donuts with butter and coat in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Serve warm.
