Ingredients

- 2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 cups apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- Oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk and egg. Gradually add this mixture to the dry ingredients until well combined.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, frying until they are golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove the fritters with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
These fritters can be served warm or at room temperature. Add ice cream or caramel sauce for extra indulgence.
