- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a mini muffin pan.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl.
- Mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar, apple cider, buttermilk, eggs, and melted butter until combined in another bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full with batter.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool slightly before removing from the pan.
- Mix the sugar and cinnamon for coating in a separate bowl.
- Roll the warm donut holes in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
For an extra treat, roll the donut holes in cinnamon sugar after reheating.
